Windows 8 final build leaked, torrented

Written by Fudzilla staff

Act surprised, please

The final build of Windows 8 has made its way to the dark and damp pirate underground. The OS was leaked just days after it went gold and it is already available for download on file sharing sites.

Of course, aside from being rather illegal, downloading the new OS could pose a security risk and let’s not even get into possible compatibility issues.

Redmond did not comment the leak, but it is safe to assume that it already saw it coming. In related news, Microsoft is apparently planning to drop Metro branding altogether. In place of Metro, Microsoft will describe its new US as a “Windows 8 style UI.” A bit of a mouthful if you ask us.
