Konami to get PES 2013 out first

Written by David Stellmack

FIFA 13 to follow two weeks later

Konami will release its PES 2013 soccer title ahead of Electronic Art’s FIFA 13 soccer title. According to a number of sources, Konami wants to get out ahead of FIFA 13 this year in hopes of giving Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (PES 2013) some traction ahead of the release of FIFA 13.

Konami has not tried to release ahead of FIFA since 2003. If sources are correct, expect to see PES 2013 arrive on September 11th in North America and September 14th in Europe, followed by EA’s release of FIFA 13 on September 25th in North America and September 28th in Europe.

Konami wants to build more market share for PES and is hopeful that PES 2013 will be a turning point for the franchise, according to a source we spoke with.
