Cheapest 15.4-inch notebook in Europe

Danish
notebook maker Zepto has launched the cheapest 15.4-inch notebook on the European market.

As you may expect from such a cheap machine, its specs are not what you can call impressive. It's powered by a 2.0 GHz Celeron M550 CPU, has 1GB of memory, an 80GB hard drive and a SiS IGP. It comes with either XP or Vista, and you can go for some extras as well.

It's not the prettiest thing around and it won't turn any heads, but at €299 inc. VAT it sells at an unbeatable price. The cheapest 15.4-inch notebooks usually sell around the €350 mark and €50 is a big deal in this price segment.

More here. (German)
