Samsung HD Blu ray gets Simplay certificate

Compatibility not an issue they claim


Samsung's
BD-P1200 is the first High Definition Blu-ray player to pass the Simplay HD testing program. The Simplay Labs test program allows consumers to identify HD products that can work together, assuring compatibility and iteroperability.

The player itself is a second-generation Blu-ray player with HDMI 1.3. This device will now bear the Simplay HD logo, along with two other Samsung products, the Samsung R155 DVD recorder and the Samsung LN-T3253H 32" LCD HDTV.

The cool thing is that our editor mentioned this device more than year before it actually showed up here
