Resident Evil 6 now confirmed

Written by David Stellmack

Set for release on November 20th

The Resident Evil franchise will get a 6th offering, as Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 6 is set for worldwide release on November 20th. The game will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 first with a PC version to follow at a later date.

Capcom tells that the new title will be set 10 years after the Raccoon city outbreak, and will feature Leon S. Kennedy and Chis Redfield. The two popular characters will have to handle a serious zombie outbreak that has spread across the world.

Beyond confirming the holiday release date of the title, Capcom promises more details will be released in the months ahead. Upcoming details to be released should shed light on the additional new characters and specifics surrounding the co-op game play. Capcom has released a trailer for Resident Evil 6 to celebrate the release date announcement.
