Is a sequel to Dead Island coming?

Written by David Stellmack

Dead World trade mark filing suggests it

TechLand has filed for a trademark for something called Dead World. It sounds a little familiar if you are keeping score these days, since it sounds like a potential sequel to none other than Dead Island (which is also from TechLand).

While TechLand isn’t talking the possibility of a sequel to Dead Island, it does seem quite likely based on the rather unexpected success of Dead Island. While we can’t say everything about Dead Island has been smooth, the horror RPG title has been a success at the cash register where it counts.

Of course, success at the cash register breeds sequels; and what a better name for a sequel than Dead World as a follow up to Dead Island? We will have to wait and see what TechLand has in store. We have no clue yet how long the wait will be; but according to someone in the shadows we spoke with, the wait isn’t actually going to be that long before something is announced, as they will want to capitalize on the success of Dead Island.
