Mists of Pandaria reaction a bit negative

Written by David Stellmack

Blizzard not worried, as players will come around

The reaction to the announcement of the new World of Warcraft expansion called Mists of Pandaria has been a bit negative, according to a number of reports. It would seem that many players were not at all pleased with the announcement, which had been rumored for some time.

Blizzard seems to not be worried about the reaction, as they think players will come around once they start playing it. It would seem that at least some of the perception will change as players get a better understanding of how cool the pandas in the game can be.

From the trailer we have seen, Pandaria does look very interesting, but there just isn’t enough to know one way or the other how popular this may be.

they throw a free copy of Diablo3 if u subscribe WoW for 1 year, not sure that would help, WoW does not impress any more...
they should improve graphics, bring something new and after all these years WoW should be completly free to play online after u buy game.
blizz stop being greedy...

Ah give me a break. Most of the whining I've heard comes from thinking Pandas are nature's comic relief. A quick googling would clear that out in a second as a Panda can rip you out a new one AND still look cute doing do. A dangerous combination I'd say.

Another source of complaints is Blizzard's departure from telling us outright who the bad guy is in this expansion. Not since vanilla we have seen this happen. You know what? I welcome it. A little mystery for a change.

But graphics I can agree with. The new panda race looks amazing and its animations put all other models in WoW to shame. Blizzard *really* needs to update all other models fast so the game maintains an consistent look, otherwise it risks making the game look even worse.

You have free WoW, until level 20. What? The infrastructure they have to support is a lot bigger than all those other free MMOs. I'd imagine that in the twilight of WoW, once populations go down and servers start to merge, then we could see free as a viable alternative. Now? Pffft.
