In Japan

Sony plans to add Skype support to their PSP devices, hoping that they might catch up on Nintendo’s DS that is selling like hot cakes.

Skype support was supposed to come earlier but Sony said that the microphone planned for Skype use didn't meet Skype specifications. On the other hand, this microphone has what it takes if it’s used within 10 centimeters of the audio source, i.e., your voice.

Sony will start selling this microphone in Japan on March 19th and it should cost around 2,500 yen.
