Only for x86 systems
In case you have been waiting to get in on all the Windows 8 fun you'll be happy to know that Windows 8 Developer Preview will be ready for download today.

Microsoft latest Windows 8 was out as a Developer Preview for 32- and 64-bit x86 systems as of 20:00 PT (14/9/2011 03:00 GMT), which was a few hours ago. Unfortunately, those that were hoping to try it out on their ARM driven tablets are out of luck as this one will run only on x86 systems. The downloaded Developer Preview will be activation free and will be available with tool and apps or just apps.

We tried to download it around 9.30 AM Central European time and and it was still blazing fast. The 64 bit (3.6GB)and 32 bit (2.8GB) versions of Windows 8 Developer Preview are available or you can grab the whole thing named Windows Developer Preview with developer tools English, 64-bit (x64) with 28 Metro style apps including the BUILD Conference app and some developers tools.

It will take 20GB of your space, but all Windows 7 applications should work just fine.

The donwload link is here.
