In some news that might not sit well with some Battlefield 3 players on the PC, it has been confirmed by DICE on their Twitter feed that PC players of the upcoming Battlefield 3 will be limited to just one solider (in-game name) per Origin account because the in-game solider name is linked to your EA Origins account.

This is a radical departure from the past where you could have multiple in-game soldier names or profiles that were linked to your master account. In the past, being able to start a new solider from scratch allowed the chance to experiment more by just starting over, but now the decision to go this direction is only on the PC version.

We have to expect that we will hear more specifics on this as it gets closer to release. We suspect, however, that despite all of the clarification DICE and EA will do, this will meet with much disapproval.
