Mac to get Duke Nukem Forever

Written by David Stellmack

Aspyr to release it in August
In what can only be described as a bit of an unexpected surprise, Mac owners will have the chance to play Duke Nukem Forever when it arrives this August. While talk of a Mac port of the PC version of game was talked about and even hinted at, it is only now that we can confirm that Mac users will be able to play it on their platform.

The Mac conversion of Duke Nukem Forever is being handled by Mac gaming software specialist Aspyr Media. Aspyr, over the years, has converted and ported a number of bestselling PC titles to the Mac platform, and apparently Duke Nukem Forever will be no different. No word yet on when exactly in August it will arrive; but trust us when we say that 2K is looking at every way possible to wring every dollar possible out of Duke Nukem Forever and what better than a Mac version to drive additional revenue.

Sources tell us that you should look for Aspyr’s Mac version to arrive toward the end of August, and look for an official release date for the Mac to be confirmed by Aspyr soon.
