Cliff Blezinski from Epic has revealed that the campaign mode in Gears of War 3 will offer about 10 hours of game play. This is longer than Gears of War 1 and 2, which had campaigns that were about 8 or 9 hours, depending on how good you were.
The news of a long campaign is just the latest in a string of improvements and enhancements that will be a part of Gears of War 3. The multiplayer has received a lot of attention, including what really amounts to a major overhaul that will include dedicated servers to host the multiplayer action. The multiplayer modes will feature a new version 2.0 of the popular Horde mode that is a fan favorite.
Gears of War 3 is on track for a September release on the Xbox 360; and to celebrate (as we told you about yesterday), Microsoft will be offering a new Limited Edition Gears of War 3 Xbox 360 console as well as a Limited Edition wireless Xbox 360 controller. As we indicated yesterday, Microsoft will have both the Limited Edition Gears of War 3 Xbox 360 and the Limited Edition Gears of War 3 controllers out in time for the release of Gears of War 3.
