Asus prepares 12-inch slate for CES 2011

Asus apparently has some serious plans for the tablet market and plans to show its Eee Pad EP121 tablet at this years CES 2011 next month. Despite earlier rumours, it looks like this 12-inch slate will pack quite a punch with a Core i5 CPU paired up with a Windows 7 OS.

The detailed specs are apparently left for the unveiling at CES 2011, but the teaser video shows that we are looking at a 12-inch slate with HDMI, USB, card reader and camera. It will support full HD playback, might have a support for both finger and pen control as well as some kind of easy keyboard support.

One thing is sure, we'll have a quite an interesting tablet showcase at CES 2011 in January, and Asus will certainly have something to show. You can find more here and you can check out the teaser video below.
