Overclocked to 820MHz

After the launch of AMD's HD 6800 series, we told you that AIB partners will come up with their own, factory overclocked, versions pretty soon and today Powercolor rolled out its first HD 6850 PCS+ card. Featuring a non-reference cooler, the HD 6850 PCS+ also has a decent factory overclock.

The new Powercolor HD 6850 PCS+ ended up overclocked to 820MHz for the GPU and 4400MHz for 1GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface. According to Powercolor, the PCS+ cooler should be up to 15 percent cooler when compared to reference HD 6850, probably thanks to the 90mm fan and a heatsink with three copper heatpipes.

The card still features two DVI, one HDMI 1.4 and one DisplayPort 1.2 output. The HD 6850 PCS+ will be bundled with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game. The price wasn't announced, but we guess that it should end up in retail at around €160 to €170.
