Review: Eyefinity 6 and 4GB memory

Aliens vs. Predator sees the XFX HD 5970 Black Edition outpacing the reference HD 5970 by about 15% and the HD 5870 by up to 81%. It appears that the XFX card's double amount of memory does more to improve the results in AvP than in Dirt2, where XFX ended up better by about 10%.

This card is crackers. For half the money you could Tri SLI 3no GTX 460's.Overclock them and get the same performance with the same amount of monitor ports.

And no matter how many GTX 460s you SLI, you can't play on 3 displays, let alone 6.

You'd probably be better off with a pair of those: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102888&cm_re=Radeon_HD_5870_Eyefinity-_-14-102-888-_-Product But they're still expensive.

If you want that kind of performance, just wait for the HD 6870, it shouldn't be more than a couple of months away, now.

Sli a couple of 480s, better performance and physics. Who runs 6 monitors?

Crazy flight sim gurus do, but I doubt they would be dumping their money on these.

Nice card though, run that and a 250 for physics.... good to go.

I don't know about you guys but I rather wait for the newer HD 6800 series. I think this XFX card while being a awesome card is a little too late in the game. That price is just way too much...

I would have liked to see this thing compared to the Asus Ares.
