According to analysts, Apple has managed to sell 300,000 3G enabled iPads over the first weekend of sales. However, it's worth noting that the figure includes all pre-orders since the introduction of the plain iPad a month and a half ago.

Piper Jaffray analysts are reporting that the majority of Apple stores sold out their stock of 3G iPads over the weekend. The outfit estimates that Apple has sold over 1 million iPads so far. Some analysts believe Apple will ship as many as 7 million units in 2010.
