Demo to arrive September 24th for download

Sources are confirming that Forza Motorsport 3 has now gone gold and is officially on track for its October 23rd release for the Xbox 360. Turn 10 studios has also confirmed that a demo of Forza Motorsports 3 will be released for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace on September 24th. It is unknown if the demo will be available to start with exclusively to Xbox Live Gold members or with Silver members being able to download it closer to the actual release of the game, but our sources tell us that this is likely the way that it will play out.

When the demo arrives, you will be able to drive any of five included cars on the full version of the Camino Viejo track. The five included cars in the demo will be the Porsche 911 GT3-RSR, Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro, Ferrari California, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR, and Mini John Cooper Works. In an interesting addition, the demo version will support official online leaderboards for lap times.

Microsoft is also reminding those thinking about buying Forza 3 that the Collector’s Edition will include 10 exclusive bonus cars which will be exclusive to those owning the Collector’s Edition of Forza 3. Insiders are already telling us that the Collector’s Edition could be in short supply. Only those pre-ordering the Forza 3 Collector’s Edition will be assured of being able to get it. Retailer sources are already telling us that they have been informed that there will likely be no additional copies available after initial shipment that retailers will receive to fill pre-orders.
