With multiplayer mode

Activision recently announced its new game dubbed Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The game is of course based on the Twentieth Century Fox’s upcoming animated movie, and will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, Wii, PC and Nintendo DS.

The game will feature six playable characters: Manny, Sid, Diego, Scrat as well as a couple of characters yet to appear in the new movie. The game packs 15 levels and each character will have to go through with a set of character-specific skills. Another novelty is that the game will feature a multiplayer mode supporting up to 8 players.

Activision announced the game for June this year, and our guess would be the last week of June, as it’s a common practice to launch the game shortly before the movie premiere scheduled for 1st of July 2009.

Activision launched the first trailer from the game and you can check it out here.
