Lead level designer moves to unannounced project

The unannounced title that developer Splash Damage is working on to be published by Bethesda received a major shot in the arm with the announcement that they have been able to add Killzone 2 lead level designer, Neil Alphonso. Alphonso was formerly at Guerrilla Games. Alphonso will head the unannounced new title for Splash Damage going forward.

Splash Damage is best known for working with id Software on the development of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The studio has been loading up on staff in the past couple of months, with the company’s headcount almost doubling since the announcement that the company would be developing an unannounced game for Bethesda Softworks.

Our sources tell us that Bethesda will be making an announcement soon as to this unannounced title, as the only thing that is known so far is that the title will be multi-platform. In the meantime, Splash Damage continues to hire and ramp up their staff for this project, and the addition of Alphonso should prove to be a great addition.
