Blizzard announced that Wrath of the Lich King, their latest and hottest expansion to the game World of Warcraft, will get a free 10-day trial, for all those who might've missed it or haven't bought it yet.

Unfortunately, the company is obviously aiming at recapturing former players, since you’ll need the full version of World of Warcraft as well as the first expansion of The Burning Crusade in order to be eligible for the trial. Also, if you want to try out the new Death Knight class, you’ll need a character of at least level 55 and a character level of 68 if you want to travel to Northrend.

The items and gold you earn during the trial are yours for the keeping, but until you purchase the full WotLK version you won’t be able to return to Northrend or play the Death Knight. Also, experience is limited to one point below level 71, in order to keep the wretched stingy players from experiencing all the cool things that levels 71-80 bring.
