In the U.S. on December 2nd

Ubisoft announced the launchdate for the new installment of their hit game, Prince of Persia, and U.S. citizens will get a chance to pick up a copy on December 2nd, whereas Europeans will have to wait until the 4th of December. U.K. gamers will get the game one day after the rest of Europe, on the 5th of December.

The game will feature new gameplay mechanics and a new and improved art style, although we’ve some users on the forums rooting for the old gameplay glitches that have, interestingly enough, made this game quite special.

So, at least we’ll be seeing the game before the movie that ended up being pushed back to 2010, and the game should make the wait somewhat more bearable.

More here.
