Blizzard brews up a blizzard of rumors

Diablo 3 or the new MMO?

Blizzard Worldwide Invitational is scheduled for tomorrow, and there are already numerous rumors circling around. The word is that Blizzard might announce their new MMO, that’s been widely discussed, or maybe even Diablo 3.

The splash screen on Blizzard’s site has been showing some bluish ice that’s been cracking these days, revealing a misty night sky. As the mist cleared and revealed some stars and a couple of brighter specs, some gamers, with a bit more free time, took the time to overlay Diablo's splash screen over it, only to find it matches perfectly.

Well, that might not be a definite proof, or even close, but knowing that Blizzard used a series of teasers when they announced StarCraft II, it might not be so crazy after all.

There’s also some talk that Blizzard might announce their new MMO, and although they confirmed that it won’t be just another WoW expansion, they said something on the lines of “We’re not telling anyone, anything,”  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

More here.
