Sony announces PS3 firmware 2.36

Firmware 2.40 to follow

 

Sony Entertainment announced the new PlayStation firmware version 2.36. This update will improve system stability with certain PlayStation formats.

Sony also announced new firmware, version 2.40, which should be launched soon. Version 2.40 will include XMB access to the game, a new feature called “trophies,” and other improvements.

The launch date for version 2.40 is not disclosed, but you should expect it sometime this summer.
