A long hard road comes to fruition

The announcement
that many have been waiting for has finally come:   Quake Wars has finally gone gold!

The long hard road that developers id Software and Splash Damage have traveled to get to this point has been difficult with many challenges along the way, but by the looks of the last beta version of the game, the wait has been well worth it.

ETQW will be released in the U.S. on October 2nd for the PC and will be released to the rest of the world shortly after that. Development continues on versions of ETQW for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

The game will retail for US$49.99 for the regular edition and US$59.99 for the Limited Collectors Edition.

Game on!
