Signs technology agreement for iPhone

InterDigital, Inc. has announced that it has entered into a seven-year licensing agreement with Apple, Inc. to provide wireless technology for the iPhone and reportedly some future mobile phones, as well.

Interdigital announced that it expects to receive a $20 million payment as part of a licensing deal, but did not specifically indicate that the licensing payment was coming from Apple.

Interdigital has reportedly indicated that it expects the agreement with Apple to be worth about $56 million to it over the next seven years.
