So the company claims

According to a news story on TweakTown, Asus has confirmed that it currently doesn't have an X48 board design in the works, as the company is trying to get its X38 boards ready.

Aparently Asus should have X38 boards in the channel within the next couple of weeks which is good news for everyone that's been waiting for this chipset to finally arrive.

Asus should have at least four different X38 boards available. The top of the range model will be the R.O.G. Maximus Extreme followed by the Maximus Formula, the P5E3 Deluxe and finally the P5E3 WS Pro.
