Seagate to launch 2TB next month

Written by Fuad Abazovic

To tackle Western Digital

Seagate works on its 2 Terabyte drive and we’ve heard that the company might introduce such a product in the next month.

We don’t know the price but we learned that 1.5TB Seagate sold really well, despite the issues with initial firmware. We also learned that firmware related stuff was not such a big deal as press and users blown it out of proportion.

Every since Western Digital launched its 2TB drive, the interest shifted to that one and Seagate works on its own and hope to take the storage crown again. The drive comes next month, so hopefully by the end of April or at some point in May, the messenger was not that precise.
