Time for Solid State Drives

Transcend just announced its first 32 GB 2.5 inch IDE solid state drive that should be compatible with most of the mainstream PCs and notebooks around.

The 2.5 inch IDE SSD is packed in a tough outer metal case and has a high reliability. The drive does not have any moving parts so it should save some battery life and will be free from mechanical failures often resulted by mechanical vibrations.

It is available in 8GB, 16 GB and 32 GB capacities and we still don’t know the Suggested retail price.
