65W and no price

If you want a quad-core at 65W TDP you will have to clock it as low as 1.8GHz. This is exactly the clock speed of the Phenom 9100e, an energy efficient 65nm CPU.

At this time, there is no pricing for these CPUs, nor is AMD ready to disclose the availability of such a CPU. This baby won’t be the only energy efficient one, as there will be a Phenom 9150e part with the same clock speed, but probably with a higher TDP.

Even at 45nm and the same clock we don’t believe that AMD can hit the 35W Thermal design power, as this is the maximum that notebook CPU should have. Give it some time and it will happen.

There is no pricing so far for the 9100e and Phenom 9150e, just the fact that both are energy efficient. We are sure that Al Gore is getting ready to buy a few. At least AMD will save a few whales, but it won't get the Nobel peace prize, as it will fire a lot of the good people due to poor judgment, believing that K10 can be easily made at 65nm.
