Aimed at small businesses

Intel is starting a new online portal aimed at improving IT services for small and medium businesses served by Intel's reseller channel.

The new site will be named Multi-Site Director and it will offer small businesses remote IT services, including expanded warranty services, help desk, IT audits, monitoring and many others.

Intel sees much potential in Europe's numerous small businesses, which make up a significant portion of the continent's IT market. According to Intel, the Multi-Site Director will benefit such companies greatly and will bring Intel's expertise one step closer to them.

The new portal will be available for evaluation this month, while its services will be offered commercially in the first quarter of 2008.
