Price war improves AMD?s market share

2.5% better in Q2 

 

During Q2, AMD won back 2.5% of its lost CPU sales. They are still having hard times, and even though they had 13.4% market sales, they still have a 3.1% loss looking at the same period last year.  

On the other side, Intel had a 2% loss in comparison to their sales in Q1, but total sales on the CPU market has grown by 5% compared to the same period last year, and now they hold a total of 73.4% of the market.     

Q4 will probably be even more interesting. Barcelona's success will surely help AMD recover.

Phenom, the desktop version, will not come to the stores till November, but Intel has prepared its own surprise.
