Written by Fuad Abazovic

26th of August for $87

The fastest of the FSB 800 Core 2 Duo series with only 1 MB of cache should start selling on the 26th of August for $87. Currently the fastest one E2160 is selling for $87 today but it will drop in price on the same date.

This is a great CPU as it overclocks really well and we tested one of them here.

As far as the plans goes this should be the last 1MB 65 nanometre Core 2 Duo to be introduced in this year but Intel is known for adjusting its roadmaps to meet the market demands.
