SSE4 and beyond

Intel again counts on its instructions and Penryn and all the other Intel 45 nanometre processors will have SSE4 instructions inside.

K10 will have SSE4A which is just a subset of instructions that will be able to run some SSE4 instructions but not all of them.

Penryn which is a pseudonym for whole 45 nanometre generation from Intel especially Yorkfield will come with full blown SSE4 and with Photoshop CS3 and some other software package to support it, it has a chance to win this multimedia war.
