Broadcom chip for 1080p playback

Asus' Eee Keyboard has been strolling around since Cebit 2009, and according to the guys over at Netbooknews.com it looks like we'll be still seeing previews until early Q1 2010. Netbooknews.com got a nice little preview of 720p streaming over Ultra Wide Band.

The "new" sample of Asus Eee Keyboard got a bit upgraded from the last time we saw it, as it got a dedicated Broadcom media processor that will give it an ability to playback 1080p video. This will be limited to wired connector, as Ultra Wide Band is possible only for 720p, but it still is a neat feature.

The new sample also got a new resistive touch sensitive 5-inch screen with a stylus, which should be much more responsive than the old one. Unfortunately, as we already noted, the Eee Keyboard has been delayed to early Q1 2010, and it looks like we'll just have to wait a tad bit longer.

You can check out the video here.
