It’s two times Lisbon

Many do believe that Magny Cours, AMD's future server 12-core part is nothing more than two Istanbul 6--core CPUs, but we can tell you they are wrong.

Two Istanbul CPUs would have a lot of heat issues and therefore AMD is using lower power Lisbon cores to make Magny Cours 12-core non native core work. Magny Cours is a server CPU and we don’t expect desktop version of 12 core CPU anytime soon.

Lisbon the heart of Magny Cours is scheduled for debut as Opteron 4000 series in Q2 2010 and Magny Cours should not be launched that far behind.
