Starting at €199
Last week we reported that several retailers had jumped the gun
and started selling AMD's Thuban six-cores and now the CPUs are
officially out.
Of course not all retailers carry them yet, but they are here and
consumers can get them and that's what matters. Also, they offer
excellent value, so getting them sounds like a pretty good idea.
The 2.8GHz Phenom II X6 1055T is selling for just €199, while the
unlocked 3.2GHz 1090T BE costs €299. Compared to Intel's 980X pricing,
this is lunch money and they are even cheaper than many high-end quads.
