Zotac has released its first Pineview board and from the looks of it, it's a rather nice, feature packed piece of kit, although it is a bit pricey.
It's based on Intel's NM10 chipset and feature the new Atom D510 dual
core, clocked at 1.67GHz and it sports Intel's integrated GMA 3150
graphics. It packs two single channel DDR2 slots and a single lane PCIe x16, as well
as a single PCI x1 slot.
Connectivity shouldn't be an issue, as it features WiFi, a total of 10
USBs and an eSATA port. There's also an HDMI out, but it seems to be
limited to 720p, which simply isn't enough nowadays. At least you can use the PCIe x16 to upgrade the graphics, which isn't the case with most Atom boards. Best of all, it's
passively cooled.
It should ship by the end of the month and it will set you back around
€100 and it will be available in Mini ITX and Mini DTX form factors.
