Last year Gigabyte introduced a rather innovative ITX chassis with an
simple VESA monitor mount on top. We liked the concept and it appears
that the market embraced it as well, so Gigabyte is introducing a new
model.
Apart from the screen stand, the MIB T3140 is a no thrills ITX chassis
with a 65W PSU. It has one 5.25-inch slimline bay and an internal
3.5-inch HDD bay. It's somewhat smaller than its predecessor and we
think it looks a bit better as well.
Of course, its main selling point is the adjustable monitor stand. It
features standard 7.5 x 7.5cm and 10x10cm VESA mounts and it can
support 17- to 23-inch screens. Apart from the obvious space saving
benefits it allows users to adjust the tilt angle, viewing angle and
height of the screen, which is not the case with low-end and mid range
screens that are most likely to end up on it. You can check out the
product page
here.
Prices start at
€69 and we think it's worth every penny, or euro cent. However, bear in mind that the old T5140 is still available with a price tag of just
€49.
