Good news for woodland critters
According to a survey by the Pew Research Center online news services
have become more popular than newspapers in the Land of the Free.
The survey found that services such as Google News, AOL, as well as CNN
and BBC websites were the most commonly used news services. A total of
68 percent of readers said they got their news from online services. TV
is still in the lead with 78 percent on the local level and 71 percent
on national TV networks and54 percent of Americans tune into radio stations each day.
However, more than 90 percent of people surveyed by the Pew Research
Center said they used multiple news sources and 57 percent of them
turned to two or more news sites rather than sticking to just one.
In contrast just 50 percent said they regularly read newspapers, which is rather good news for squirrels and their nuts.
