Was going to shoot up Springfield
James Gallagher, 22, of Wnydomoor was jailed after posting threats and profanities on his Facebook page.
Gallagher is a self-described white supremacist, and as you may imagine
he also has a thing for guns. His Facebook page contained images of
Gallagher sporting an AK-47 and an AR-15 assault rifle. After the
police was informed of his threats, an undercover detective joined
Facebook and read some of his rants and threats.
"He was threatening to shoot up Springfield, to just really cause
massive destruction to the local community, and he had significant
firepower,” said District Attorney Risa Ferman. Ferman ads that the
DA's office takes internet threats just as seriously as it would take
written threats given to someone. However, writing a threat in your own
blood and sticking it to someones front door with a bayonet is much
more effective.
A search of Gallaghers home yielded guns, ammo and white supremacist stuff, such as a flag that said “White Pride, World Wide.”
