Asus's new Eee PC 900 is now available in the States at an MSRP of $549. Newegg is currently listing both the 12G XP and 20G Linux versions, but only the XP version is in stock,
here.
Asus doesn't seem too keen to bring the new Eee to the old world. Considering the troubles they had with supplying enough first generation Eee PCs to the European market, this is no surprise.
European retailers who have already listed the 900 series are expecting it to be in stock in 5-7 weeks. At about the same time we should see the first Atom-based nettops hitting the shelves and possibly an Atom-powered Eee PC, as well.
