Intel plans to release its successor to its Santa Rosa chipset at the Computex show in Taipei later in the year. According to Taiwan's DigiTimes, the Montevina chip will be marketed under the label Centrino 2.
The chip will appear along with six 45nm notebook CPUs, all with a 1066MHz FSB. Core speeds will range between 2.26 to 3.06GHz, and prices will range between US$209 to $851 in 1,000-unit tray quantities.
