Based around Tegra
MSI is trying to build a
Nvidia Tegra-based e-book reader, according to its chairman Joseph Hsu.
Hsu said that the device still has some problems are waiting
to be fixed. He expected the company will wait until the first half of
2010 to announce further details.
The success of Amazon's Kindle has made some manufacturers
take the creation of ebooks a lot more seriously. Asustek Computer has already indicated it plans to launch an
e-book reader.
According to company president and CEO Jerry Shen,
Asustek's 9-inch grayscale e-book reader will soon appear in the market,
but in limited quantities and targeting niche markets. It is also planning a standard e-book reader version for the
great unwashed early next year.
