According to the New York Times, Intel will announce a
management change on Monday. Pat Gelsinger, senior VP in Intel's
enterprise group will leave the company after more than three decades
on numerous posts, including CTO and head of research.
Gelsinger will apparently move to EMC and manage its storage business.
Intel’s head of sales and
marketing Sean Maloney will take over some of Gelsinger's
responsibilities, but he will not replace him entirely. Dadi
Perlmutter, who currently heads Intel's mobile chip division will now
be in charge of all chip divisions.
Intel is still not commenting the report, but we should more details later in the day.
