According to a Harvard study, just 10 percent of Twitter users generate in excess of 90 percent of the content. With more than 10 milllion users, Twitter is growing fast, and some even call it the faster growing social network.
Harvard researchers, however, point out that more than half of the
members update their page once in every 74 days, and most of them tweet
just one during their lifetime. In contrast, on a typical social
networking site, the top 10 percent of users make up for 30 percent of
the content, claim researchers.
"This
implies that Twitter's resembles more of a one-way, one-to-many
publishing service more than a two-way, peer-to-peer communication
network," the team wrote in a blog post.
Although it's growing rapidyl, it turns out a lot of people give Twitter a try, but don't really stick with it.
