A 40-year-old baptist minister was accused by Missouri authorities
of using Facebook to offer sex to an undercover detective posing as a
13-year-old girl.
Rev. Robert M. Black, a pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in St.
Joseph, has been charged with one count of first-degree attempted statutory
rape and attempted enticement of a child under 15.
Black used a Facebook account under the name Jon Still to contact the
detective, and authorities fear he used the same account to get in
touch with other under age girls. Authorities have searched his
computer, and claim he had about 135 friends on Facebook. They are
asking anyone who got in touch with him over the social networking site
to contact them.
Black surrendered Wednesday. His bond was set at $100,000.
