MSI has officially announced a new notebook in its gaming series, the MSI GT627. The new 15.4-inch notebook features anodized brushed aluminum case and comes with Nvidia's Geforce 9800M GS graphics that should be enough for some serious gaming on a 15.4-inch widescreen display in 1680x1050.
Other specifications include Intel's Core 2 Duo Penryn CPU paired up with Intel's PM45 Express chipset, 4GB of DDR2 800 memory and a 320GB of SATA storage. MSI's new GT627 features 802.11a/g/n WiFi, two USB ports, FireWire port, E-SATA, 4-in-1 card reader, 2.0M webcam, integrated HD Audio with stereo speakers and D-Sub as well as an HDMI output.
MSI has also equipped the new GT627 with MSI's Turbo Drive Engine which can overclock the CPU by as much as 15% when in AC mode. The new GT627 weighs 2.6kg with a 6-cell battery and it will also have a 9-cell battery option.
Unfortunately, the new MSI GT 627 isn't available or listed yet, but we expect it to retail at around €1000.
