Working on Intel's boards for now

G.Skill has announced its latest DDR5 kit based on 24GB memory modules, the Trident Z RGB DDR5-8000 CL38 48GB (24GBx2).

Setting a new bar for extreme overclocking, as G.Skill was so keen to point out, the new kit hits 8000MHz at rather tight CL38-48-48 latency. G.Skill decided to launch it in its flagship Trident Z RGB series, with recognizable heatspreaders, available in black and silver color options.

The new memory kit was tested with Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard and Intel Core i9-13900K processor, hitting 123.76 GB/s read, 120.75 GB/s write, and 118.02 GB/s copy speed in the AIDA64 memory bandwidth benchmark.

The new Trident Z RGB DDR5-8000 CL38 48GB (24GBx2) supports Intel XMP 3.0 and will be available as of next month. Currently, the fastest G.Skill memory kits that we could find are the Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-7800 one at Newegg.com, and the Trident Z5 RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-7600 CL36 one at Amazon.com, priced at $349.99 and $309.99, respectively.
