AMD can do Barcelona chips in its own fabs

Our friends from the Inq are reporting that AMD's Henri Richard has dismissed rumours about its inability to produce Barcelona chips in its own fabs.

AMD's senior executive marketing director told our colleagues: "I usually never comment on rumors but this one is so silly I will break my own rule. There is absolutely no ground to this story."

AMD claims the first Barcelonas will be clocked from 1.9GHz to 2.5GHz.
