AMD preparing new Ryzen AGESA update

For improved DDR4 memory support

AMD is apparently going to release a new Ryzen AGESA update for AM4 motherboards which should further improve memory support.

According to a report coming from a dedicated Gigabyte thread over at Overclockers.co.uk forum, the new AGESA 1.0.0.6 update will improve memory DDR4 memory support by enabling 20+ memory register. According to the earlier update from AMD, the focus is on overclocked 2666MHz+ memory, which should bring decent performance improvements.

AMD has been working hard to bring better support for its Ryzen CPUs and AM4 platform and its earlier AGESA updates lowered DRAM latency as well as fixed plenty of known issues.

Motherboard makers will probably issue BIOS updates as soon as AMD gives the green light and hopefully, these will be coming in future as well.
